American Arcadia breaks in to Gamescom
Hi there Arcadians!
Some weeks ago we traveled to Cologne to attend Gamescom, where we spent some lovely days presenting American Arcadia to the European press.
Out of the Blue’s co-founder and Creative Director Tatiana Delgado and Lead Writer Alfredo Gonzalez-Barros were there to keep American Arcadia's ratings rising and give the press a sneak peek of the full game in our first European hands-on demo. And also for them to remember us better we gifted them with a little device that will keep un-wanted observers out of the equation.
We received amazing feedback from Gamescom and also a lot of questions concerning the plot of the game, the characters, and the mechanics. Let us share some of the interviews here!
“I was just so engrossed in the game's mixture of side-scrolling platforming and first-person puzzling. Keep American Arcadia under surveillance, because I think it's going to be a real hit when it lands.” - Rock Paper Shotgun
“American Arcadia is shaping up to be something really special. The Truman Show-style set up is familiar, but the way that Out of the Blue has realized this kitschy 70s utopia is simply wonderful. The way they then contrast it with the second viewpoint and blend more ideas into the side-scrolling escape makes it really feel like American Arcadia will be more than the sum of its parts.” - Thesixthaxis
